Oh, and of course stories like the one about the [I think] 9 year old boy who saved a young girl by putting an attacking dog in a choke hold he learned in his judo/jujitsu/I forget class.

Would be humorous to see someone try to jack him on the street, finding themselves lying on the ground in bewilderment of what just occurred. Truly inspiring, this IS why we do it....

When you mentioned this video, this is exactly the one I was thinking of. This guy is an inspiration to us all. If I never have to fight again in my life and could move half this well when I'm that age, I will be immensely happy. He puts people half or a third of his age to shame.

My parents are in their mid-50's, have back trouble, and certainly can't move like that. Since I have a family history of just about every disease there is, I'm in much more danger from heart trouble, back trouble, diabetes, et al than I am a mugger. I'm hoping to move that good even at just 50.
