Black Taoist vs Sensei Mo!

I don't know if you know blacktaoist (Novell Bell). He's a NYC bagua (yin and gao styles, I think) and xingyi teacher. He's got some good youtube vids, though it doesn't seem he keeps many up at once. Anyway, he's apparently going to be in an MMA-style fight with "Sensei Mo," a shotokan, jiu-jitsu teacher who did some stunt doubling for the one guy in The One and got to get beaten up by Jet Li.

Of course I'm hoping for Black Taoist to win. I'm interested in seeing it, you can apparently get it on pay-per-view, at least on the internet. The fight is December 18th. Maybe we should have a guys' night.

I doubt I would be around for this, but I would be interested in seeing it. I am familiar with Novell Laoshi as a pretty brashly vocal online personality and have seen lots of his clips, most of which are fairly decent. I am considering another trip up that way in December so perhaps I'd be around.

Seems like it'll be a pretty good match, I'm definitely up for a group fight night party. Don't know much about these two, but but it looks promising...

At whose place shall we watch this match?

What is required to watch it? Can it be gotten on TV? Or can it only be watched on the internet? I don't know anything when it comes to pay-per-view stuff. I get zero channels on my low-def analog TV. My laptop screen is I think about fifteen inches. I'm guessing I don't have the best viewing options, but I don't know what anyone else has.

Can anyone even figure out how to view it on the internet? I can't find anything on the kapmma.com site or the youtube channel about they pay-per-view or anything. I thought I had when I first found it and when I looked into it I got into some loop of sites I couldn't figure out how to order from. Now I can't even find that.

I'm glad we didn't pay to watch this thing. The Karate vs. Kung Fu fight was scrapped. Here's about all I could find on it so far.

KAPMMA spent quite a bit of time promoting a Karate vs Kung Fu special attraction featuring Novell The Black Taoist Bell vs Mahaliel Sensei Mo Bethea. According to Nick Lembo at the NJSACB, that fight was scrapped.

While this is not confirmed, its going to be assumed that Novell G Bell backed out of the fight which seems to be The Black Taoist’s modus operandi. There is a 7 minute long video of Bell talking “strategy” for this fight. But it looks more like an Al Qaeda training video than an interview with a serious fighter. And I really don’t want to give the guy any hype, because after reading some of his internet chest puffing, he really isn’t worth it. But, I did have a couple people ask.

I found a baji-based fighter I'm sure could annihilate Sensei Mo. This is the kind of guy that if I ever saw him coming after me, I'd use my shotgun.

I found some video footage of the night the fight was supposed to take place. It does look like Novell was ready to throwdown and Mo was reluctant. In Mo's defense, the organizers didn't seem to have their act together, though.
